The Indian film industry has been shattered by reports that Rajinikanth’s daughter Soundarya is separating from her husband Ashwin Ramkumar.
Soundarya and Ashwin married in 2010, and have a year-old son called Ved.
The Deccan Chronicle reported that Soundarya and Ashwin have filed a petition for divorce in the family court, although neither has issued a statement about the split so far.
As per News reports, irreconcilable differences are the reason for their split. Rajinkanth stayed with the couple after returning from the US, where he had been undergoing treatment for a kidney-related ailment, and hoped to effect a reconciliation,
Despite Rajinikanth’s advice to compromise with Ashwin, Soundariya has decided to go ahead for a legal separation from Ashwin. Sources say she will officially confirm once their marriage gets ended in the court.
