Saravanan was born on the 10th of October in 1966 in Salem, Tamil Nadu. He made his debut as an actor in the 1990s. His debut film was Vaidehi Vandhachu. He was then seen playing lead roles for a while. He also acted in many supporting roles. He acted in a supporting role Chevvaazhai as the uncle of Karthi in the movie Paruthiveeran. This film was directed by Ameer and received great appreciation from the critics.
