Debutant director Anand Balki announced that he would be making a film with actor Santhanam in the lead role with Santhosh Narayanan as the music composer.

Producer Selvakumar of Kenanya Films bought the rights of the title Santhanam took training at a five-star restaurant and learnt skills from the restaurant’s staff.
