Surya is an Indian Film Actor and he was also known as Saravanan Sivakumar. He was born on 23rd July 1975 in Chennai to actor Sivakumar and his wife Laksmi. He is an Indian actor and producer best known for his work in Tamil Cinema. He also a social activist who loves to help people and he started a foundation named AGARAM to help young students’ education. He is well known for his versatile role in films and he has won many awards like National Award, International Award, Film fares and, Kalai maamani Award. He is one of the most loved actors in the Tamil industry and still the dream boy for many girls. Surya is best known for his acting and he is very passionate about his works. His latest movie Soorarai Potru has hit the Indian cinema industry with a bang. He lived as the character Maara in that film and Sudha Konghara is the director of this movie. Now he is acting in an anthology movie by Netflix which was directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon.

SURYA FILM CAREER:
Surya’s first film is Nerrukku Ner (1997) which was directed by Vasanth and produced by Mani Ratnam. His first hit film was with Vijay and the movie named friends. His career seemed to be poor until he Acts with Bala for his film called Nandha. Nandha was a commercial hit and he won the first Filmfare award for this movie. In 2006 he married Jyothika who is his long-year love and they both worked together in several films, like kaakha kaakha, Perazhagan, Sillunu Oru Kadhal, etc. He received the Tamil Nadu state film awards thrice.

SURYA UNKNOWN FACTS
In 2008 he started the Agaram foundation to help poor children who drop out of school and cannot afford their studies in Tamilnadu. Agaram has sponsored 159 underprivileged students for their higher education. Along with his father and brother, they extended help towards Srilankan Tamil children. Surya used to celebrate his birthday by doing charity works.
