Kodi Review: Kodi is a Tamil political thriller film written and directed by R. S. Durai Senthilkumar and produced by Vetrimaaran under his banner Grass Root Film Company. The film stars Dhanush, Trisha and Anupama Parameswaran, along with S. A. Chandrasekhar and Saranya Ponvannan. Dhanush, who produced R. S. Durai Senthilkumar’s previous two films, Ethir Neechal and Kakki Sattai, will be playing dual roles for the first time. The film’s music is composed by Santhosh Narayanan, the cinematography is performed by Venkatesh S

In Kodi movie, Dhanush plays dual role, one is a powerful politician named Kodi and the other is an upright young man named Anbu. The film features actress Trisha Krishnan as Rudra and Anupama Parameswaran as Malathy.


Kodi movie is a story about the politics in a village based on power plant factory near the village, Karunas, who wants to become a politician but due to his incapability he failed to prove his talent in politics. Karunas burns himself to stop the factory in the village.


Karunas’s twin sons Kodi and Anbu elder son Kodi gets into Politics and another son Anbu into Teaching profession.

Kodi fall in love with Rudra Trisha who is the most powerful politician,  Anbu falls in love with Malathy Anupama . After the certain stage, both twin brothers comes to know that the factory still runs with help of ruling party where Kodi works for the same party.  Did Kodi wins the election against Trisha and what happens to his love and the factory is rest of the story.


Verdict: A decent one-time watchable Political Entertainer with Commercial Aspects!
