In a shocking video going viral on the internet, a group of eight youth can be seen molesting a minor girl in broad daylight in Jehanabad, Bihar. The video has been doing the rounds on social media since Saturday night, following which the Jehanabad Police has now detained four men out of the mob of seven.
The minor girl in the video can be seen helplessly fighting her attackers, who are heard laughing and jeering while dragging her clothes off. One of them can be seen lifting her off her feet as she tries to kick him and free herself. No one could be seen trying to stop the group, including the person who took the video.
Taking cognizance of the matter, IG of Patna range Nayyar Hasnain Khan has formed a special investigation team to nab the other accused. The police is believed to have traced the men on the basis of a motorcycle that was recovered from the spot. The registration number of a bike seen in the viral video shows it belongs to a person in Sihati village, which is in Bhelavar area.
The police are carrying out door to door searches in the neighbourhood and talking to villagers to identify the rest of the attackers. The incident comes in the middle of outrage and disgust across India over a series of child rapes.
