Vasantha Kumar, also known as Asal Kolaar, is a south Indian film lyricist and singer who has primarily worked in the Tamil cinema industry but has sung in many Telugu films as well. Asal Kolaar has contributed to well-known films including Gulu Gulu and Coffee With Kadhal. Coffee With Kadhal, Asal Kolaar’s first movie, was released in theatres in 2022.

Asal Kolaar worked with a highly anticipated Tamil Movie Bachelor in which Sathish Selvakumar, a newcomer, wrote and directed Bachelor, an adult romance drama movie in Tamil that was released in 2021 in India. The movie was produced under the auspices of Axess Film Factory by G. Dillibabu. The movie stars G.V. Prakash Kumar and Divya Bharathi, who is an Instagram diva, made her Tamil film debut. The background soundtrack was entirely composed by G V Prakash Kumar, while the songs were written by Siddhu Kumar, Asal Kolaar worked for national award-winning music director G. V. Prakash Kumar, Dhibu Ninan Thomas, Siddhu Kumar, and A. H. Kaashif. The song “Angamaly” from the Malayalam film Angamaly Diaries may have served as the inspiration for the “Life of Bachelor” track in which Asal Kolaar worked.

The action thriller movie Mahaan, also known as The Great, was written, produced, and filmed by Karthik Subbaraj in 2022 in the Tamil language by Seven Screen Studio. In addition to Sananth, Vettai Muthukumar, Deepak Paramesh, and Aadukalam Naren, the movie also stars Vikram, Simran, Dhruv Vikram, Bobby Simha, and others in supporting parts. Gandhi Mahaan, a business instructor who becomes a booze baron and leads an existence by himself after being deserted by his family, serves as the central character in the story. Santhosh Narayanan composed the soundtrack for the movie.
